City Records Under CPRA
The Glendale public records request form is for city documents, reports, and other public information. The city asks requesters to provide as much detail as possible. Under California Government Code § 7922.535, agencies normally make a determination within 10 days, with a limited 14-day extension. Glendale's page tracks that rule by saying requesters will be notified within 10 days about availability and exemptions. Hard copies require payment of copying fees before release.

Glendale Public Records Offices
Public records access is faster when the request goes to the right office the first time. Glendale's own page excludes birth/death certificates, marriage records, fictitious business names, business licenses, and real-property inquiries from the city request channel. Recorder Records Since 1851
Los Angeles County RR/CC maintains real estate records since 1851. The office separates physical review by era: 1851-1957 records are reviewed on the lower level at Norwalk, while 1958-present records are reviewed on the second floor. Records are maintained in alphabetical indexes by name and recording year, and the office does not accept telephone requests for index searches.
The most important Glendale public records quirk is that RR/CC does not provide internet access to real-estate records or indexes. That means official deed, lien, and notice research may require a counter appointment, a mail request, or enough names and years to make a copy search possible.

Real Estate Search Fees
The RR/CC fee page is one of the most practical public records sources for Glendale property research. A plain copy costs $5 for the first page and $3 for each additional page. A certified copy costs $6 for the first page and $3 for each additional page. The search fee is $0.50 per name per year, nonrefundable, with a $1 minimum. Expedited mail or UPS is $18.50, and credit-card handling is $1.75.

Assessor Records Online Limits
The Los Angeles County Assessor Portal and map search are useful for Glendale public records because they organize property by AIN, address, legal description, and map context. The map viewer includes parcels, cities, communities, ZIP codes, school districts, supervisorial districts, and other layers.
Do not turn the assessor portal into more than it is. The research file shows that owner names and mailing addresses exist in assessor data, but the public internet portal help page says users cannot search by owner name online. Owner information is freely available in person from Assessor District Offices, and data sales can provide owner name and mailing address by mapbook or mapbook page.

Court Access and Archives
Glendale court records are Los Angeles Superior Court records. The local North Central District courthouse handles Glendale, La Canada Flintridge, La Crescenta, and Montrose matters. Vital Records Copy Rules
Los Angeles County RR/CC is the practical custodian for Glendale birth, death, and marriage records. The county BDM application covers LA County births since 1866, deaths since 1877, and marriages where the license was issued in Los Angeles County since 1852. After the online application, the requester must visit an RR/CC office with the confirmation number, valid photo ID, and payment.
California Health & Safety Code § 103526 controls authorized certified copies. Requesters who do not qualify for an authorized copy may receive an informational certified copy, which is marked not valid to establish identity. County fees in the research file are $34 for birth, $26 for death, and $19 for marriage. Confidential marriage records are available only to spouses or by court order.

Voter Records Stay Restricted
Voter registration is a public-record category with strong limits. LAVote cites Government Code § 6254.4 and Elections Code § 2194. The county states that home address, telephone number, email address, precinct number, voter-registration number, and prior registration information are confidential except under Elections Code § 2194. The voter status lookup requires personal details and is meant for self-verification, not browsing.
The county voter-registration information request channel allows certain voter records for a small fee, with in-person and mail paths. Request Glendale Public Records
